Puppy Week!

So last week we had Bonnie and Clyde over while Mom, Dad, and Megan were all at Girls Camp. Mom was called as one of the camp cooks and Dad was one of the priesthood holders over there. We didn't mind the company at all, of course, they really aren't the best of company since they mope most of the week waiting for their "Mommy". I'm an ok substitute but it's not the same.
The first day of them over we had to move the kennel to our room. Whenever there are storms they whine like crazy and Clyde needs to be around someone in order to do ok. I've never seen anything like what we saw last week. It was a major thunderstorming few days along with lots of rain, and more rain, and more rain, lightning, flash flooding, and yes, even tornadoes in a couple of areas. We had the warning siren go off one night but luckily it passed over us. Our electricity went out and amazingly, i don't understand it, but Jordon slept through the entire thing. He does fine when it storms during the first part of the night, but once it hits 2 or 3 am and it starts to storm he hears it more and it scares him. It's just kindof funny that he wakes up to certain things like a phone ringing but not during storms? Oh well.

While they were over, we sure pooped them out with giving them long walks every day and on Saturday we took them to the park. Jordon absolutely loves the park. His whole face just lights up!

Here are some cute pics! Including the pups!

We love Texas summer mornings! We are actually at the park around 7:30 or so in the morning. It is so nice and cool, and in the summers you treasure those times as much as you can get it! Jordon's a very early riser, i don't know how he got hooked into this schedule. He wakes up anywhere from 5:30-6:30 in the morning and takes a two hour nap and is in bed no later than 6:45. It's kindof sad since Chris doesn't see him that much in the evenings or at all, but he does see him in the morning and Jordon spends as much Daddy time on the weekends he can get.
We've been doing very well, Jordon keeps us on our toes, he has become very proficient at climbing up on couches but not with getting down, so we are constantly needing to spot him. Sometimes it gets scary cause i leave the room for a minute and when i come back he's sitting up on the couch. He will be 15 months in a week or so. Can't believe how fast time has flown. He has sure blessed our family especially with his sweet smile and sensitivity. He loves to give love.
Chris is passed out on the couch right now. I guess dinner was that good! No, actually he got summoned to jury duty today and still has to go back tomorrow for hopefully the wrap up. It's his first time in jury duty, mom was lucky to get out of it when she was summoned but Chris didn't get any questions about being on an army base otherwise he would've gotten out of it. Good experience for him, though.
I'm enjoying my new calling as the Primary Secretary, it's sure nice to see all the primary kids every week. Chris subbed for CTR 7 last week. We are both busy in our callings and with Jordon and with every day life things. We are enjoying our play dates every week and hope to get to know more families in the ward with kids around Jordon's age. We didn't plan one last week since Jordon came down with a bad teething cold which he is still battling. Thank goodness for Kleenex with lotion. He's doing much better but still not up to his normal self.
Hope everyone is doing well, we love looking at all the blog updates!

Jordon really does "love to give love"--especially with his bright smiles! Thank you again for watching the puppies for us--you will never know just how much that helps to know that they are in a GOOD home while we are gone. Hope that Chris survived jury duty.
