Jordon!

Here are some recent pictures of Jordon! He loves his baths especially when it helps him to decongest. He has a pretty bad "teething cold" right now. He is working on a molar right now that is peeking through along with maybe a couple other teeth. He's doing really good though, such a trooper. He thinks he is such a big boy now with being a toddler with having a forward facing car seat and being able to cruise around and crawl super fast. His new thing lately has been crawling away really fast whenever i bring out a diaper. I guess he thinks it's a game. Silly Boy! Well enjoy the pictures, and don't forget to read our blogs! Today there are three posts, this one, our anniversary blog, and you have to read about the attack of the squirrels, compliments of Chris!

I love my Aunty Megan, so much fun to climb over!

Anniversary Weekend!

Monday was officially our 3rd year anniversary but it was more of a weekend celebration. Chris was able to get Monday off so we were able to have a good 3 day weekend. Friday night we were able to go to Jordon's friends birthday party. Matilda and Jordon are about 3 weeks apart, she came to his birthday so we were able to go to hers. It was a pizza party theme with a small water table outside for the kids to play around. We then had cupcakes and icecream and both Matilda and Jordon had a great time with the frosting, of course Jordon is quite clean compared to Matilda. After Jordon was in bed, we enjoyed watching The Tales of Despereaux and being able to relax from the week. I got Chris his favorite chocolates, Dove Dark Chocolates. Chris made me flowers, with chocolate kisses inside, that i haven't touched yet because i love seeing flowers on the table that aren't wilting!

Saturday we decided we wanted to go to New In Town in the dollar theatre, so we packed up Jordon and we all went and saw a pretty good movie. It was pretty good, but just a one time show. But it was good to be able to spend the day together. We were planning to go to the warner's wedding reception that night, but things didn't go as planned, we went to the 5 oclock showing and jordon was starving afterwards, ate all the snacks i brought, so we went to Chick Filet and came home and put jordon to bed. Afterwards I gave Chris a homemade coupon book. Then i decided to see if I could fit in my wedding dress and luckily i still do, it's very tight but it still fits. So here are some pictures of us acting like newlyweds again! The sleeves were quite tight, i guess after lugging jordon around for a year, my arm muscles have gotten bigger!
Oh and by the way, i did get a hair cut!
Sunday was quite a busy day, we had Stake Conference over at the Frisco Legacy Building. We could have went to the Colony Building but with everything going on and finding out that Dad is the New Stake President, it was a family gathering over there. Jordon slept great on Saturday Night and so on Sunday morning we had to be over at Frisco at 9:30 for the 10 AM Conference and he was so pooped. He didn't take a nap that morning since there wasn't time. I felt bad for having to leave right after Conference and missing out on the setting apart. Chris stayed and I drove home to put Jordon down for a nap. He fell asleep in his carseat right away and slept three hours that afternoon. I had to meet up with the Primary President that afternoon because I got a new calling as the Primary Secretary. Sunday evening we recooped from all the happenings of the day, we were still in shock over Dad's new calling but we know he will be a great Stake President.
Monday came! Of course our plans didn't happen. We were going to go to Scarborough Renaissance Fair, but i guess they changed things and it's only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Instead we had a pretty lowkey day, it was still quite fun, but the plans were different. It was very stormy that morning and Jordon has a "teething cold" so he felt like sleeping from 9:45-12. We took him to Mom's house where she watched him for us while we were able to go out for a few hours, walked around Grapevine Mills, got Chris a new dress shirt and tie, and we got a few small cheap cookbooks on sale and a glow in the dark puzzle! We're very excited to put that together. That evening we put Jordon down early, he didn't nap at Mom's house since he slept too much that morning, and we had a candlelit dinner with Chicken Enchiladas and for dessert a Strawberry Pie! Of course i have to work on that pie recipe, still tasted good, but it had strawberry Gelatin in it that didn't really gelatinize. Oh well, it still tasted great. And then i gave him his big present i made off of shutterfly, a love story photo book from when we were dating up through the wedding and a couple of pictures of us with Jordon when he was a couple of months old. Chris got me some wonderful fudge chocolate and the new Rascall Flatts CD, unstoppable.
All in all it was a great weekend, happy anniversary to us! Three years have gone so fast, it's been a wonderful three years and i am so happy to be married to such a wonderful man!

WE'VE BEEN ATTACKED BY SQUIRRELS!!! JK

Before any of you start worry. Darlene and Jordon are safe and sound. I’m doing ok too. But this isn’t something that happens every day, and I really wanted to do something fun on a Friday. Ok here it goes… Oh the horror, the agony, the torture! Thursday I got a phone call from Darlene saying that a band of evil squirrels were attacking the fence in the back claiming to get revenge for their fallen comrade that were killed in combat years ago. Fade out to flashback…. Not too long ago the Alleman family traveled in a Big Blue Battle Wagon! Ok, it was a Blue Chevy Van. The Alleman brothers and sisters plus Mom (aka Cindy Alleman), would go around the north Dallas area in a reasonable peaceful way. Those peaceful days ended when the squirrels when mad and start ruling the road! One day the Alleman family had, had enough! Mom and a few of the Alleman clan “accidently” ran over a squirrel or two to show the squirrels who owned Crawford Drive. The demonstration kept the squirrels away until Thursday April 24th, 2009.

They were back and ready to rumble!
Some were a little crazier then the usual squirrel and that is just scary.

They brought out some heavy fire power.
Some of it even illegal.
They even called out the squirrel mafia! I was at work, and so Darlene and Jordon had to defend the home from the evil squirrels. Jordon had just started eating a snack when it all happened, and you never interrupt Jordon’s eating or sleeping time. The squirrels broke through the backyard fence to surprise the family. Darlene got the old B.B. guns and started hitting squirrels right between the eyes. Jordon would throw toys at the ones that rushed up, and then started scaring many away with his deadly sharp teeth! In the end the Alleman Family won the battle and the squirrels scurried away in defeat. Here is the carnage after the battle, without the dead squirrels. That way to keep this blog G rated.

What really happened was the recycling truck driver didn’t wait long enough for the automated armed to raise up after taking our recycling and pushed the trash can into our fence. Thank goodness Dad and I put in that metal post last year. The brackets were bent, but the post held firm. I can’t imagine what would have happened if the whole back fence was torn up. It could have done some damage to our gas meter and caused more trouble than we needed. The company has agreed to have their insurance company pay for the repair, but they are taking a long time at doing it. Today is Wednesday April 29th and still no phone call from the reckless driver or insurance company. The fence had to be moved from off the grass, so please send us a tip or two about dealing with fence repair companies, insurance companies, and waste/ recycling companies.

Time to dust off the Running Shoes

This year I've decided to go "running" in the early mornings. Boy I am out of shape, but I decided to go at a sluggish pace and run around the block. It seems like forever since I went out for a jog. It feels great, and I plan to do these small jogs to build up to run the 3mile Fourth of July race. Or should I say jog at an incredibly slow pace? Oh well, I need the exercise since I'm in a cubicle all day. Do any you have a widget or something to help me track my progress? I'll need all the help I can get.

Thanks,

Chris

Edit: I just found out that the fourth of July race is 3k, which is a joke. At least I'll have a easier time getting ready for that, or I'll look for a 3 mile/5k run somewhere else. What a strange thing to run. 3 kilometers isn't even 2 miles. Wish me luck.

Jordon's Birthday, Easter, and Kacey's Visit

Birthday Time!

There has been so much that has happened around here lately. Kacey flew in with Dad a couple weeks ago a day earlier than planned suprising everyone, especially Mom and Megan. Since then we have all been trying to spend as much time as possible with Kacey before she would head back to college, this time to BYUI! Go Kacey! On Easter Sunday we had a family get to gether with everyone to celebrate Easter and for a family birthday party for Jordon. The party never ends! The Bennions joined us and we had a wonderful dinner with Dad's homemade lasagna, bread, salads, and cake and ice cream later. We then watched a slideshow video of Jordon's life so far with pictures and music to go along with it. It was very cool to watch it on Dad's projector. It was amazing to watch it all and see how much jordon has grown physically and too see all he can do now. Time sure flew by and we have enjoyed every minute(mostly). Afterwards we had cupcakes and icecream.

Jordon was quite the trooper, he had quite the sunday with not getting in as much of a nap as he should have. I actually had to leave early to put him down. He slept in til almost 8 that morning, so he didn't take a nap before church, so he survived until 1 and we left afterwards. But he started to get a fever that night and didn't feel good at all. Had a fever and upset tummy. But he was the trooper and put a show on for everyone but a lot of the pictures you can tell all he wants to do is sleep and get some tylenol. But here are some pictures of all the fun!

I love my Dadda!
Do do do do! I'm superboy! This was my present from Dadda!

Enjoying leftover cake from his first party! He loves chocolate!

Opening his present from Jeremy, Laura, and Kirsten. Thanks guys! It's a shape sorter toy with music to go along with it.
His dump truck with legos from Gramma and Grampa! He enjoyed it the next day, this is when he's really starting to not feel good.
Is it bedtime yet?
I like fire! My candle!
The Day after Easter!
For FHE we enjoyed dying our Easter eggs since we weren't able to on that sunday. Jordon was almost ready for bed but was enjoying his first Easter! Especially the box!

Here he is trying to help Daddy with the dipping. You can't really see the egg dipper but Jordon really wants it!

Kacey and Laura Time!
We had a gettogether with Mom, Kacey, Laura, and Kirsten on Tuesday. Jordon wanted to be everyone's superboy! Here he is enjoying time with Aunty Laura!

So last night Kacey, Mom, and Megan came over to see Jordon. Jordon won't see Kacey again until Christmas and by then he'll be around 21 months old, crazy! He is enjoying seeing Kacey and playing with her necklace, it took a bit of effort for us to finally get him to look at the camera. He loves his Aunty Kacey!

We will sure miss Kacey but are so happy for this next step of her life. Have a lot of fun at BYUI, the best place ever! We love you!

6x6 tag

So I'm going to actually do a tag! I found this picture. It's a picture of my mom the year she and I repainted the living room. It was during the fall time of when i was back home working at Bargain Barn. A month later was when Chris came out for Thanksgiving to propose to me. So this was kindof an interesting picture to find and blog. We're going to go see them in July. I'm so excited to see my family again along with my sisters and their families will be there too.

1 year appointment

Yesterday was Jordon's 1 year well child checkup. Everything went well, he weighed in at 21.15 lbs and 32 inches long! He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for heighth! Way to go Jordon!

The Doctor said he's looking really good and to watch out for him walking soon. He can say dadda, kitty, and he started saying mama on his birthday! We are so proud of our Jordon, what a wonderful year it has been. He has sure brightened up our lives with his happy face and wonderful hugs and kisses!

Happy Birthday Jordon!

Today is my birthday! I had to wake up extra early to have my breakfast with mommy and daddy before daddy left work, can you tell i'm a bit tired? Something is strange in this house, i am seeing decorations, and balloons, hey what is this all about? Here is the wow factor! He did not expect this at all!
Here is his birthday waffles with a candle in it, Alleman tradition!
Along with the strawberries, he loves strawberries!
And the happy dance!
We invited over the Curran family, Jordon and Matilda are quite the buddies these days. She is 11 months old and the cutest girl! He has actually tried to kiss her, they head snuggle too, it's so cute but worries me about his flirting at this age! :)
Still having fun! I love birthdays! We invited them over for dinner and for the party. We enjoyed chicken and rice and salad.
Mom and Megan came over around 6:30 and we started the festivities! His first birthday candle to blow out with mommy's help!
Megan and Emelia enjoying cake!
He dumped the cake! But he got so interested in his spiderman plate that we had to take it away for him to see his chocolate cake and strawberry icecream!
Hmm, what is this?!
Hey, this is yummy, what is this called, why are we having it, i like a lot! give me more!
I'm making a mess for mommy and daddy! Does chocolate stain?
Ooh, presents for me! Too kind! I like presents, if only i could enjoy it more. It is 7:30 at night, me getting sleepy, but i sure like wrapping paper!
These are my friends! Anna and Matilda, Emelia has disappeared, she's probably playing in our play tunnel we put out! Can you tell Matilda is tired too?
Ok, i'm done, i'm very tired. But i sure had a wonderful birthday, i love cake and icecream, and presents, and being with my family and friends.
This is my Clifford book i got from Gramma Gallis, I can't wait to play with it tomorrow. Thank you everyone for wishing me the bestest 1st birthday evers!
