Today is day 4 of sleep training, so far it's going a lot better. The first night he didn't fuss too much, the 2nd night he cried bloody murder and it took me 6-7 tries to get him down in 20 minutes. Last night he realized that this is the routine from now on, so he went back to fussing for about 5 minutes, and tonight it was only about 2 minutes of mild crying. So I'm so proud or our little "inker dinks" as we sometimes call him. Jordon is doing well, he is on a different kind of routine now, which works out better for all of us, especially for Chris. With him working all the way in Dallas and having to make such a long commute, we have Jordon awake at 6 in the morning to have breakfast with all of us and being able to see Daddy until he has to leave around 7 or so. And Jordon is awake until about 10 and takes a huge morning nap, about 2 1/2 hours. He is down in bed for the night at 8 or so, letting Chris spend about an hour or so with him. Before he wouldn't see Jordon each day until the night time, and even then he would only see him for maybe 45 minutes before it was his bedtime. I know a lot of babies sleep 12 hours at night at this age, but Chris needs to have time with Jordon during the day. Plus Jordon is actually waking up at 6 anyways for his morning bottle, i haven't had to wake him up all week since we started this schedule. So far so good, his sleep training at night is going well, of course he is fussing a bit around 2 but since it's a mild fuss, i try to sleep through it. I only go in to his room if it's a painful cry. If anyone has good tips about sleep training for naps in the daytime, that would be great. I still have to rock him to sleep for his day naps, i think it's too light in his room for him to realize it's time to sleep. I'm going to try to put up a dark sheet over the window to darken the room to help him lull to sleep. But at least he's mostly sleep trained at night, which was what i was aiming for. Now it's training for day naps, and then i'll have to take the paci away. Try to, he's a bit attached to it, By the time he's a year, i hope to have him off of it.
I thought i would post a couple of pictures to show everyone how he likes to try to stand up on his own, so far it's just up to his knees!
Enjoy!

I love being mobile! This is so cool!
