Our Wonderful Family

Here are some of the things that have been happening lately:

Jordon

1. will be 3 years old in a couple of months, but he is still our little boy :( Still in denial of his birthday!

2. is doing well in ECI, will be enrolling in preschool in April after his assessment with the school district or just speech therapy, depending on the tests.

3. doing well with talking, we are able to understand him more and more

4. loves hats, will wear it all day and night

5. is obsessed with movies, care bears and elmo, watches it endlessly; needing to limit tv time, but when david is napping or nursing, sometimes it's the only quiet activity he knows best to do.

6. loves blocks still, especially when they bounce down the hall. found his new favorite game with grandma, picking up a block with a "bug" hand puppet and spitting them out, cracks him up

7. has a nickname for david, "dee dee"

8. is starting to like baths a bit more, he'd rather play than be clean, but we're working on his anxiety level with hair washing/rinsing

9. will be starting potting training soon hopefully, i'd love it if i just had 1 in diapers

10. he is wanting to transition out of naps, but a total basket case without one. He has gone to bed as early as 5:45 pm and slept through for 13 hours, but when he does nap it is sometimes up to 3 1/2 hours which i love, only downside is him going to bed around 9 or 10

11. he is a wonderful boy, who loves to run and play and be outside especially at the parks with his friends

We love our Jordon and wouldn't know life differently without him.

David

1. cut 2 teeth now and working on i think his uppers

2. 6 months old this week, we'll see how his big dr. appt will be

3. is eating solids 3 times a day with a snack in the afternoon, he prefers solids before nursing, working on sleep training. any suggestions on how to sleep train a 6 month swaddled boy who loves to nurse to sleep, please let me know.

4. he is able to roll both ways very well, can sit mostly all by himself and is starting to scootch(crawl backwards)

5. loves to smile, giggle, and be tickled, but extremely sensitive to Jordon, loud noises, and anything scary

6. loves daddy when he comes home from work with his whole face lighting up even if it is close to bedtime.

7. loves to play with Jordon's toys, and Jordon does not like that at all, but working on the whole sharing with brother

We love our little growing David, whoever said he could grow up

We'll post some pictures in the next one
