Our 10 monther!

It is so crazy how time flew by this year. Everyone says that the first year of a baby goes by fast, but i didn't realize how fast. To just think in 2 months we will be having his first year birthday. I havent weighed or measured him yet, but he seems to be still around 21 lbs and possibly 30 inches long. He is very active and tries to get to anything he can get a hold of. He is down to 1 nap a day. We started sleep training today and i did my normal routine and gave him the rest of his morning bottle before his first nap and i read him stories, and i thought he was tired to take a little nap, and so i told him to take a good nap and i reassured him i was still there for him and put him in his crib to fall asleep by himself. He played for the next 45 minutes, wouldn't nap, so we gave up and i gave him his lunch early and he had his lunch bottle and we read more stories and at 12:30 he was rubbing his eyes pretty good, so i put him in his crib and he fell asleep in 15 minutes of playing and trying to get to sleep. He actually didn't fuss that much, he fell asleep really fast. He was very cranky at lunch time but at least he's napping longer. I would be so worn out. He'd nap for about 45 minutes and go for another 3 hours and nap another 1 to 1 1/2 hours, if i was lucky. Just when the church schedule changed for our good, he goes down for a nap just once a day. Sundays, i might have to wake him up early to possibly get a morning nap in. Any suggestions?

Ok, so i didn't have time to finish this post on the day i started it, but things have changed, he is still a 2 a day napper. It's just the sleep training part he's having a hard time with. The first day went great, he did one huge nap without a problem. The last couple of days, he would not fall asleep on his own, yesterday he fell asleep on the bottle at 12 and slept til 3, but i'm not doing that again, it's bad to have babies fall asleep on the bottle, i don't want him to get the bottle mouth caries dental problems. So i'm doing a new schedule where he's down at night at 8 or so, wake up call at 6 am, morning nap from 10 -11:30, and afternoon nap from 3-4:30. He hates sleep training, last night was pretty bad. It took me 6 tries in 20 minutes for him to finally go to sleep without me. It was the toughest thing to do to hear your screaming child, and hold back from going in to comfort him. I'd let him cry a few minutes at a time since he's getting used to me leaving him in there without rocking him to sleep. Wish me luck, Chris and I hardly got much sleep last night. He fussed quite a bit, also due to teething, but still, it was quite an ordeal for all of us. At least Jordon took a 3 hour nap this morning, and another good nap this afternoon. He's a good little boy, but he has a bad case of mommy seperation anxiety. Aah, the joys of parenthood, take the good with the bad! But i love it at the same time, wouldn't ask for anything different. He is a great kid and we love having him in our family.

Hope everyone is doing well! Until the next post, aurevoir!
