So we finally have some great news about Jordon from the Chiropractor. Still keep him in all of your prayers. We have a trial period of 2-3 weeks without treatment. Yesterday Chris and I went for Jordon's weekly chiropractor visit, and she said his head is great, the shape is back to normal ranges and the spot we always think is flat actually isn't because there is a shadow there with his hair making it appear flat when in reality it isn't. I still need to keep massaging it a bit for the next 3 weeks, so we'll see how it goes. She showed us how to know if it shifts or not by palpating down from the front to the back to make sure everything all lines up. It's kindof hard to explain but pretty much you just make sure the two bones are right in the middle. I told her the way i've been having to do the massages so well is by rocking him to sleep every nap time and bedtime and massaging for 15-20 minutes at a time. I am trying to sleep train him, so these past few months he's been really spoiled with a lot of snuggling time with mommy and daddy. So now i'm introducing him to little einstein throughout the day, so he can focus on that so i can massage his head for a few minutes.
We are so excited that after 4 months of treatment, it's almost completed. We will really miss her, she's been such a great dr for our family. Has really worked hard with us with hardly any fuss over the financial part. we pretty much only paid for 1 month of treatment. She didn't want to see him in a helmet and she promised she could fix the shape as long as we stuck it out with her. And she has kept that promise. And now he is even a cuter kid with a great looking head! We are so proud of our little Jor Jor! He went in with a head tilt(torticollis), a bad range of motion, and a pretty flat head(plagiocephaly). Now he has no head tilt, a great range of motion, and a good shaped head. What a great present for the year for our family.
He actually had it back in shape at the end of December, but then it shifted one more time before we got it back for good hopefully, cross your fingers. We feel that we have been greatly blessed since Christmas, we sure missed all of you in Denver, but now i know that we were meant to stay home in order for the treatments to go this well. We hope to be able to have another get to gether down the road. We love all of you and thank you so much for all your prayers and concerns. We are truly blessed. Thanks again!
Here are his head picture now!
