The Final Count Down

Howdy Y'all! It's been a while since I've been blogging, but with a slight fall a few weeks back and many "other" complications the time has flown by. Our company had to do some lay offs, and luckily I survived the cut. I've had many responsibilities thrown at me along with a job title too, sort of. I'm dealing with the accounts receivables a lot more, and some people are calling me the new "AR coordinator," but I really am not the coordinator. I'm just taking care of the jobs along with a senior coworker too. Its just many of the people there tend to go to me for the answers, and I usually have the answers.
Well, I'm back and I'm ready for the race this Saturday! I'm so pumped and ready to go! I've learned so much about the running groups here in Texas, and even learned when a triathlon will happen. My goal is to go on the 350 meter swim, 13 mile bike trek, and a 5k run in two years. That would be a feat! But for now I'll do my best at a 5k, and have fun at it too. There will be over 300 runners in this event and I'm number 46, which added together makes a "10." Adrian Monk would be so proud of me. He would be prouder if I was number 100, but no ones as perfect as Monk, I think? Well, life has been fun and the jogging in the morning has helped me feel stronger and more productive. Take care everyone, and stay cool in this summer heat.
I love weekends! I get to spend lots of time with mamma and dadda! This is us after breakfast! I love food, see my belly! I just ate some yummy pears and pancakes, and other tidbits of stuff. I even had syrup, i love syrup, but now i'm all sticky and need a bath before church! :)
I love spending time with my dada! He and I just love to hang around and playing with building blocks! Daddy builds them, and I knock the towers down. hehehe.

All three puppies in a row! Seriously, we're not feeding Jordon puppy treats! He just wanted to be there while I was giving the puppies a treat for a great walk, and it looked like he wanted to taste a treat too!

Father's Day Weekend!

Happy Father's Day Weekend! We sure appreciate all of our father's and what they have done for us. Chris was able to have a three day weekend with us, Jordon was so excited, i don't think he let him out of sight. He was very insistent on spending all his time with Daddy. Jordon goes to bed sometimes before 7 at night, some days it's even 6 and Daddy doesn't see him that much so the weekends are Daddy weekends!

We spoiled Chris by getting him a Mercer Meyer book(from Jordon), called me and my dad. I got Chris a card and made him his favorite dinner, Chicken Enchiladas. On sunday we went over to Mom and Dad's and enjoyed Chicken Cacciatore and my famous Chocolate Cream Pie for dessert! It was sooo good. We put in a special ingredient this time, we decided to do half and half with regular milk and powdered milk from the cannery and it turned out just as good. At church the fathers got cookies from the Relief Society. Chris sure felt spoiled and loved. The best gift of all though was that Sunday morning when Jordon took his first step to Daddy! Slowly but surely he is trusting himself to let go of things and try to walk, but i still give it a few months before he's up and running! Chris and Dad were able to take care of the Volvo car by getting the much needed front tires changed, fixing the splashguard, and fixing the backend hatchback with getting new support gas shocks. I'm so excited to be able to use it now! Thanks honey! Here are some pictures from the weekend that i couldn't resist not putting in! Notice how attached Jordon is to Daddy!

Showing off his new toy! (thank goodness for cheap garage sale toys and disinfectant wipes)
His hair style after he woke up from his nap today!

Don't know how well he slept?!

I love my Daddy! Wish i was more awake!

Snuggle time!

Puppy Week!

So last week we had Bonnie and Clyde over while Mom, Dad, and Megan were all at Girls Camp. Mom was called as one of the camp cooks and Dad was one of the priesthood holders over there. We didn't mind the company at all, of course, they really aren't the best of company since they mope most of the week waiting for their "Mommy". I'm an ok substitute but it's not the same.
The first day of them over we had to move the kennel to our room. Whenever there are storms they whine like crazy and Clyde needs to be around someone in order to do ok. I've never seen anything like what we saw last week. It was a major thunderstorming few days along with lots of rain, and more rain, and more rain, lightning, flash flooding, and yes, even tornadoes in a couple of areas. We had the warning siren go off one night but luckily it passed over us. Our electricity went out and amazingly, i don't understand it, but Jordon slept through the entire thing. He does fine when it storms during the first part of the night, but once it hits 2 or 3 am and it starts to storm he hears it more and it scares him. It's just kindof funny that he wakes up to certain things like a phone ringing but not during storms? Oh well.

While they were over, we sure pooped them out with giving them long walks every day and on Saturday we took them to the park. Jordon absolutely loves the park. His whole face just lights up!

Here are some cute pics! Including the pups!

We love Texas summer mornings! We are actually at the park around 7:30 or so in the morning. It is so nice and cool, and in the summers you treasure those times as much as you can get it! Jordon's a very early riser, i don't know how he got hooked into this schedule. He wakes up anywhere from 5:30-6:30 in the morning and takes a two hour nap and is in bed no later than 6:45. It's kindof sad since Chris doesn't see him that much in the evenings or at all, but he does see him in the morning and Jordon spends as much Daddy time on the weekends he can get.
We've been doing very well, Jordon keeps us on our toes, he has become very proficient at climbing up on couches but not with getting down, so we are constantly needing to spot him. Sometimes it gets scary cause i leave the room for a minute and when i come back he's sitting up on the couch. He will be 15 months in a week or so. Can't believe how fast time has flown. He has sure blessed our family especially with his sweet smile and sensitivity. He loves to give love.
Chris is passed out on the couch right now. I guess dinner was that good! No, actually he got summoned to jury duty today and still has to go back tomorrow for hopefully the wrap up. It's his first time in jury duty, mom was lucky to get out of it when she was summoned but Chris didn't get any questions about being on an army base otherwise he would've gotten out of it. Good experience for him, though.
I'm enjoying my new calling as the Primary Secretary, it's sure nice to see all the primary kids every week. Chris subbed for CTR 7 last week. We are both busy in our callings and with Jordon and with every day life things. We are enjoying our play dates every week and hope to get to know more families in the ward with kids around Jordon's age. We didn't plan one last week since Jordon came down with a bad teething cold which he is still battling. Thank goodness for Kleenex with lotion. He's doing much better but still not up to his normal self.
Hope everyone is doing well, we love looking at all the blog updates!

Baby Steps!

So, today Jordon has decided to be a big boy. I'm so amazed at the new things he can do. He picks up on things so well. This morning i turned my back on him once, and he has had this fettish of climbing up on things and so when i turned around he was sitting on the couch like a big boy, if only he was holding a remote!

But another thing he did was while i was finishing making the bed, he was wanting attention. So i went to him and he actually let go of the bed and took his first baby step! We called Daddy right away and he was so impressed and sad at the same time. He wished he could've saw it too! Jordon's been eating quite a bit lately, so i wonder if it's due to him going to hit his next major milestone, walking!

I'll try to post pictures as soon as i get some good ones! But that's our big news for today!
