Our almost 1 year old!

I love my daddy, he makes me giggle!
Look at me, I'm soooo tall!
Can i say, I think summer is coming!
I love Gramma and Gavin!
Here kitty kitty kitty!

Oh man, i got caught!

This week is Jordon's Birthday! What a year it has turned out to be, i guess i never thought people were right when they said how fast the first year flies by, well for those who doubt, believe me when i say it sure does. The first little while you don't think that it's possible when you're dragging day in day out, but after the first 3 months, it just flies by. Chris and I have been planning his party and it actually turns out where there will be 2 parties. One on his birthday and one the following weekend when Dad and Kacey will be here. We're going to see if a couple of friends will come over on the 1st along with any family members able to make it and then the one on the 11th? will be with the whole family in Texas. It is so amazing at how much he has grown and how he can be so independent, what ever happened to that 5 pounder? Our little taquito has grown up! :( Well here are some recent pictures, we'll post more after his birthday!

I'm a Ham ... Radio Operator!

This month I finally took the test to be a radio operator. Now I can talk on certain frequencies, and do some pretty cool things with a radio. Plus in case of an emergency, I'll be able to hear about disasters and traffic problems off the usual communication lines. Now I'm looking for a handheld radio transmitter/receiver. I'm so excited to try this new hobby out. On the radio I'll be know as KE5-ZUW. The perfect selfless name right? Zee you double you?

The Nap Dilemma!

So an update with the napping, we've gone back to 2 naps a day. He napped a wonderful 3 hours for me every day for 4 days straight, but he would get so hyper it would be worse than before with trying to put him down. I have to time it pretty good, because if i wait even 15 - 20 minutes too long he starts to get harder to put down again. But he now gets about 11 hours of sleep at night and about 3 -3 1/2 hours of naps during the day and goes to bed around 7:30 or so. I thought he was ready for the 1 nap a day, but he really wasn't. I'd try to squeeze in lunch before he'd go down, and he would hardly eat anything and be starving for dinner and eat too much for his own good. So probably in a few months he might transition to 1 nap but we'll see. I guess i was hoping he'd be on 1 nap cause i'd like to get more errands done in the morning or i'd like to go out for a while with family or friends without being strapped to that morning nap, but we do what's best for our kids!

Well, i gotta finish getting ready for church, i'll update later. We're having a lot of fun with Jason, Ellen, and Gavin in town! what a cute family! I'll post pictures later!

The Jordon Mover!

I love my Polar Bear Crawling Activity Center! Thanks Gramma!
Did I mention I love Books~
Ooh, There's nothing like playing with my toy train!
I'm all smiles, I gotta show off my pearly whites!
Now where did Patches go!
This is so cool! I can't believe, i can almost touch the other couch!
I love to stand up!

So within the past 3 weeks, Jordon has become really active. Ever since he got the crawl down, he's been learning how to do everything. Now he has learned how to get to a standing position by himself, thinking about cruising, and climbing up the small steps we have in the house. He has been babbling a lot and copying me. Right now he loves to blow bubbles with his lips! He has also decided to go to one nap a day for sure now. If he sleeps anything past 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon, he won't go to bed that well. He now wakes up around 6:30 or so and plays and eats until i put him down at noon, right after i give him lunch at 11 and a bottle around 11:30 or so. He sleeps for 2 hours or so and he's awake until 8:30 at night. He slept so well last night, didn't hear him once. I like that! I like being able to sleep! The time change didn't help him at all, and then with him deciding to do one nap a day, it's been quite a week for me dealing with a cranky boy, but his smiles keep me going! I think he decided to do one nap a day so that if we go anywhere with Jason and Ellen this week he'll be awake alot to do stuff. As long as he gets a good nap at least 2 hours worth he is good for the rest of the day. But if it's cut short, he is not a happy camper!
Besides Jordon Chris is doing well, he's taking his ham radio test tonight, so wish him luck! He's been taking the online tests and passing them really good, so i'm sure he'll do great. I got released as the YW secretary and am now in the Nursery as the Nursery Assistant. Jordon came in with me last time, but almost got trampled over. He had a ball, but with 10 2-3 year olds running around, i spent more time getting him out of the way than doing my calling, so Chris will be taking care of him during most of church except if he wants to bring him in for snack time and music time. But it's doing well, i'm excited about it, i was in the YW presidency for 2 years so i needed something different, i'll miss the girls, but I'm glad to be the youngsters, no matter how wild it gets in there! Well, got to go, jordon will be waking up soon, and i need to finish cleaning the bathrooms!
Til the next post! Enjoy the Pics of the Jordon Miester in Action!
